Supreme Court of Uzbekistan denied the revision appeal of Dauletmurat Tajimuratov

Earlier today, at 11 am, the Supreme Court of Uzbekistan held a session to consider Dauletmurat Tajimuratov’s revision appeal. However, the court failed to adequately consider his case, ultimately rejecting his claims of unlawful sentence and upholding the decision for him to serve time in a maximum-security prison. Despite the efforts of Tajimuratov’s lawyer, Sergey Mayorov, and the provided evidence showing a lack of lawful consideration in previous trials, the Supreme Court chose to continue Tajimuratov’s persecution, upholding his sentence for activism and maintaining his imprisonment in a maximum-security prison.

Freedom for Eurasia will continue its advocacy for Dauletmurat Tajimuratov’s release and the dismissal of all charges against him. With this decision, Tajimuratov has exhausted all available national mechanisms. Therefore, Freedom for Eurasia will now address his case through the UN Human Rights mechanisms.
